IIf Jay Turser has a little sister, I'll bet they call her JJ!
Or MAYBE, his brother dresses in drag?

This really goes under the Gone but not Forgotten text, but we'll get to THAT in a minute!

I have a thing for pink guitars, no question about it. Maybe it’s growing up in the 80’s, maybe it’s being color blind, MAYBE It’s just because I like shiny flashy things!

Or maybe, it’s yet ANOTHER issue of being awake too long and cruising EBAY too late!

SO anyway, I decided that I needed a guitar for the house, The only one I had at that point was my MIA Strat, and with a 2 year old, THAT didn’t get turned up too loud too often, so I figured that a straight acoustic would be the solution!

And son of a gun, one night, late, I was online, cruising the Jay Turser ads when I come across this JJ HEART. GURANTEED to be a subset of Jay Turser, and only slightly smaller, but a complete full bodies acoustic!

I must have sounded a little strange, a 45 year old man, ordering a ¾ size PINK acoustic, but since the auction ended at $37 plus shipping I figured it had to be a pretty good deal! Especially with the JT name attached to it!

When it arrived I wasn’t disappointed, it WAS VERY pink! And honestly, after a new set of strings it didn’t sound ½ bad. Didn’t sound ½ good either, but that’s another story. Compared to my JTSQCE it was just a little thin, a little hollow, and not at all what I was looking for. I was quickly reminded why it took me so long to buy my FIRST acoustic!

So I started to look around to see what I would have to do, to “upgrade” an acoustic, only having worked on electrics before.

Essentially I decided that a new set of tuners, pins and a new bridge would be exactly what I needed to bring out the most in this bad boy (or girl)!

So, once again off to ebay, the pins and the tuners were pretty easy, but the bridge took 2 shots, turns out that not ALL “handmade” carved of authentic whale bellows. The 1st one I bought was WAAAAY too big.

The second one however would have been JUST perfect.

I saw would have been because about the time that arrived, so did my little boy and all projects went to the side a little. THEN of course, God blessed me with a Miracle and the J45 showed up.

Since it’s worth almost EVERY thing else added together, I knew THAT was the one that needed to be inside.

So off to ebay we went! And $119 (including s/h) later the JJ was off to a new home, with the new tuners, pins and BOTH bridges. Sometimes I wonder what happened, then I quickly think of something more interesting, like socks…..
